Synthesis and selectivity towards divalent inorganic cations of macrocyclic dicarboxamides and disulphonamides bearing pendant electron donor groups

Abstract

Novel carboxamides and sulphonamides derived from 4,13-diaza-18-crown-6 incorporating ligating groups have been obtained and their ion selectivities have been evaluated by membrane techniques indicating their high affinity for Hg(II) cations.
