Jane Yolen is a prolific creator of fiction and nonfiction books for children. Her titles have been regularly placed on the Notable Books for Children lists prepared by the Children's Services Division of the American Library Association as well as nominated for the Newbery Medal and the National Book Award. She is the recipient of the Golden Kite Award presented by the Society of Children's Book Writers.
