My suggestion (see Arch. Naturg.,85, A, Heft 10, p. 112, 1920) that the type ofT. myotherinus might have originated from the north bank of the Solimões, near the mouth of the Rio Iça, is untenable, since a form with a pale-bellied male has since been found in that region.
