Abstract
The application of the Simplex-method requires a feasible basic solution. If there are positive slack-variables and if the requirements for all equation are non-negative, a basic feasible solution is given by the slack-variables. Otherwise artificial variables have to be introduced, which enlarge the problem. A method is developed, which uses similar steps as the Simplex-transformation and by which real variables are successively introduced; this leads in most cases to a feasible solution without artificial variables.
