Samenvatting

Bevolkingsonderzoeken laten vaak een omgekeerde relatie zien tussen kaliuminname en bloeddruk. Storend is dat hoge kaliuminname meestal ook betekent meer groente/fruit/vezelgebruik, waardoor het effect van alleen kalium onzeker is. Veel prospectieve onderzoeken waren te klein om een nuttig effect van kalium op de bloeddruk aan te tonen.
