Zusammenfassung
Vor allem in der Transportindustrie werden, um Gewicht zu reduzieren, immer häufiger Polymer-Metall-Werkstoffverbunde eingesetzt. Dieser Trend wird durch gestiegene Anforderungen an Material und Umweltverträglichkeit sowie die Notwendigkeit, Kosten einzusparen, begünstigt. Beim so genannten FricRiveting, einem für diese Anwendung entwickelten Reibnietverfahren, handelt es sich um eine Punktverbindungstechnik, die besonders für die Herstellung von Hybridstrukturen aus Thermoplasten und Leichtbau-Legierungen geeignet ist.
Abstract
Polymer-metal composites are being increasingly used to reduce weight, especially in the transport industry. This trend is being supported by higher requirements regarding materials and environmental compatibility as well as the necessity to reduce costs. So-called FricRiveting, a friction riveting process specially developed for this application, is a spot joining process that is particularly well-suited for producing hybrid structures consisting of thermoplastics and lightweight alloys.
