Abstract

Industrial services are of high strategic relevance for many manufacturing companies. Low margins and the ongoing commoditization led to losses in the product business. As in product business, strategic business nets — that we refer to as industrial service networks — are emerging. We want to make a contribution by highlighting the specific management challenges that need to be addressed in this context. Furthermore, we analyze the current state of literature and give suggestions for further research.
