The deformation and strength properties of oxy-PAN wastes with degree of oxidation 0.2 were shown to have initially high values that were practically constant with repetitive loads of opposite signs, allowing them to be recommended for use as chemically metallized flexible conductors. Copper coatings produced using the developed technology from a metallization solution at 50°C were found to be fine-grained over the whole fiber surface. Active functional groups capable of acting as crystallization nuclei on which copper grew in layers were obviously generated on the fiber surface under the established metallization regime.
