Résumé

Introduction

Il existe peu de données concernant les résultats et la satisfaction des patientes après nymphoplastie de réduction. L’objectif de cet article est de décrire les résultats de la chirurgie de réduction de l’hypertrophie des petites lèvres.

Matériel et méthode

Étude rétrospective (21 femmes) et revue de la littérature.

Résultats

Dans notre série, le score moyen de satisfaction était de 8,7/10 à long terme (suivi moyen de 23 mois). Dans la littérature, la majorité des patientes demandant une nymphoplastie de réduction le font pour des raisons psychologiques ou sexuelles. Les techniques comportant un lambeau et une résection en « L » ou en « V » sont les plus fréquemment rapportées. Globalement, les résultats esthétiques et fonctionnels sont bons (jusqu’à 100 %). Les complications graves sont rares: infection ou nécrose (< 1 %), hématomes (jusqu’à 7 %), douleurs postopératoires immédiates (jusqu’à 64 %), désunion cutanée ou muqueuse (7 %), dyspareunies (jusqu’à 23 %). Le risque de réintervention est de l’ordre de 5 %.

Conclusion

La chirurgie de réduction des petites lèvres est associée à de bons résultats anatomiques et fonctionnels.

Abstract

Introduction

Limited information is available regarding the results and patients’ satisfaction after seeking labioplasty of the labia minora. The aim of the current study was to describe the results of the reduction of hypertrophy of the labia minora.

Material and methods

Retrospective case series (21 women) and review of literature.

Results

In our series (mean age: 29 years), the mean satisfaction score was 8.7/10 at long term follow-up (23 months). In literature, the majority of patients who undergo reduction of the labia minora do so for psychological or sexual concerns. The techniques using a flap and a “L” or “V” resection are the most reported. Good esthetical and functional results are reported (up to 100%). Severe complications are rare: less than 1% of infection or necrosis, hematoma (up to 7%), immediate postoperative pain (up to 64%), impaired mucosal or cutaneous healing (7%), and dyspareunia (up to 23%). The risk of re-intervention is about 5%.

Conclusion

Surgical reduction of the hypertrophy of labia minora is associated with good anatomical and functional results.
