In diesem Interview für die Zeitschrift „Gruppe. Interaktion. Organisation. (GIO)“ spricht Gunther Schmidt über das Konzept der SysTelios-Klinik und über die zentrale Rolle, die Sinn und Selbstorganisation in diesem Konzept spielen. Dr.med. Dipl.rer.pol. Gunther Schmidt ist Facharzt für psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie, Mitbegründer und Ärztlicher Direktor der SysTelios-Privatklinik für psychosomatische Gesundheitsentwicklung sowie Leiter des Milton-Erickson-Instituts Heidelberg. Als Mitglied der sog. „Heidelberger Gruppe“ um Prof. Helm Stierlin war er Mitbegründer und 20 Jahre lang Lehrtherapeut der Internationalen Gesellschaft für Systemische Therapie (IGST), Mitbegründer des Heidelberger Instituts für systemische Forschung und Beratung sowie Mitbegründer des Carl-Auer-Systeme-Verlags, Mitbegründer und Senior Coach des Deutschen Bundesverbands Coaching (DBVC), Ausbilder der Milton-Erickson-Gesellschaft für klinische Hypnose (MEG) und deren 2. Vorsitzender von 1984–2004. 2002 hat er das Helm-Stierlin-Institut für systemische Therapie, Beratung und Forschung mitbegründet. Er ist Lehrtherapeut, lehrender Supervisor und Coach der Systemischen Gesellschaft (SG) und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für systemische, Therapie, Beratung und Familientherapie (DGSF). Gunther Schmidt gilt international als einer der Pioniere einer Integration systemischer (auch familientherapeutischer) Modelle und der kompetenzfokussierenden Konzepte der Erickson’schen Hypnotherapie zu einem ganzheitlich-lösungsfokussierenden Konzept für Beratung und Psychotherapie.

In this interview for the journal “Gruppe. Interaktion. Organisation. (GIO)” Gunther Schmidt portraits the concept of the SysTelios clinic and explains the crucial role of purpose and self-organization for this concept. Dr. med. Dipl.rer.pol. Gunther Schmidt is a specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, co-founder and medical director of the SysTelios private clinic for psychosomatic health development and director of the Milton-Erickson-Institute in Heidelberg. As a member of the so-called “Heidelberg Group” around Prof. Helm Stierlin, he was co-founder and for 20 years teaching therapist of the International Society for Systemic Therapy (IGST), co-founder of the Heidelberg Institute for Systemic Research and Consulting, and co-founder of the Carl-Auer-Systeme publishing house, co-founder and senior coach of the German Federal Coaching Association (DBVC), trainer of the Milton-Erickson Society for clinical hypnosis (MEG) and its 2nd chairman from 1984–2004. In 2002 he co-founded the Helm-Stierlin Institute for systemic therapy, counseling and research. He is a teaching therapist, teaching supervisor and coach of the Systemic Society (SG) and the German Society for Systemic, Therapy, Counseling and Family Therapy (DGSF). Gunther Schmidt is internationally recognized as one of the pioneers in integrating systemic models (including family therapy) and the competence-focusing concepts of Erickson’s hypnotherapy into a holistic, solution-focused concept for counseling and psychotherapy.
