Zusammenfassung
Das Therapieziel einer Reanimation ist nicht allein die Wiederherstellung der Körperfunktionen, sondern ein Leben, zu dem der Betroffene ja sagen kann.
Die Reanimation ist nur gerechtfertigt, wenn sie medizinisch indiziert und vom Einverständnis des Patienten gedeckt ist. Nicht der Abbruch einer Reanimationsmaßnahme muss begründet werden, sondern die Weiterführung. Wenn die Fortführung der Reanimation nicht mehr gerechtfertigt ist, muss sie beendet werden. Trotz Zeitdrucks sollten Informationen eingeholt werden, die zur Entscheidungsfindung beitragen können. Angehörige sind bei Reanimationen nicht auszugrenzen. Die Kommunikation mit den Beteiligten und im Team ist während und nach der Reanimation hilfreich und entlastend.
