Abstract

The results of experimental studies of velocity fields in a small apparatus with a square section and two-blade stirrers of various designs are presented. The studies were carried out on a laboratory setup with the digital tracer visualization method and the Polis complex for the diagnostics of multiphase flows. As a result of the experiments, the averaged hydrodynamic characteristics of the liquid flow in an apparatus with a two-blade stirrer were determined, and conclusions were drawn about the mixing efficiency.
