Abstract

The article is devoted to studying the synthesis of brominated nanodiamond and its reactivity with respect to N-nucleophiles (an antituberculous drug, isoniazid, and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine). It has been shown that brominated surface of nanodiamond can be easily obtained by treating hydrogenated surface with bromine under heating and illumination with visible light. The work has resulted in the preparation of a nanodiamond–isoniazid conjugate as a potential drug for the treatment of tuberculosis.
