About the editor
Dr. Marek Skoneczny is a group leader at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. His research focuses on various topics of living cell response to environmental stresses using yeast as a model system and employing diverse methodologies including the genome-wide approaches. In his studies he emphasizes the aspect of stress containment, i.e. compartmentalization of stress sources and remedies in organelles, such as peroxisomes.
