About the author

Bernd Fink is Professor for Orthopaedic Surgery at the University-Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany after education and fellowships in several trauma centers and university hospitals since 2001.
Since 2004 he works as the Head of Department of Joint Replacement, General and Rheumatic Orthopaedics of the Orthopaedic Clinic Markgröningen, Germany. He has been working in the field of hip revision arthroplasty for over 20 years and is very active as lecturer in educational courses in hip revision arthroplasty organized both by companies and societies. He is author of many papers in high ranked peer-reviewed journals in the topic of hip revision surgery and winner of several sientific awards. He was Vice-President, President and Past-President in the German Society for Joint Replacement. He is Reviewer for the following journals in the field of hip revision arthroplasty: Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, Bone and Joint Journal, Journal of Arthroplasty, Lancet Infection Disease, Journal of Orthopaedic Research, Arthroplasty Today, Antibiotics, Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, BMC Musculoskeletal Diseases.
