Abstract
So, you’ve had a long and productive life. You’ve won the Nobel prize for Literature, you’re the proud parent of three healthy and successful children who have provided you with six adorable grandchildren. You are a pillar of your local community and have contributed greatly to the wellbeing of young and old through your charitable works. You’ve a lovely house, a cottage in the country and a solid investment portfolio. But within the next 60 seconds you’re going to be dead (Figure 1.1) and then, as Macbeth says (Act V, Scene 5) on learning of the death of his wife:
