Abstract
We are interested in monitoring continuously beat-to-beat the fast changes of the aortic pulse wave velocity. The method for pulse wave velocity estimation from a Finapres signal is described. The experiments were carried out on volunteers. The pulse wave velocities were calculated from the Finapres signal by using the proposed method and compared with the Arteriograph as reference device. As a result the correlation between Arteriograph and Finapres pulse wave velocity was found to be r=0.90 (p<0.001) and the regression model was constructed. The limits of agreement with Bland- Altman analysis was 1.14m/s.
