Zusammenfassung

Trotz der unterschiedlichen Ausgangspunkte haben sich die europäische und die nordamerikanische Friedensforschung nicht unabhängig voneinander entwickelt. Auch die Pioniergeneration war mobil, kommunikations- und diskussionsfreudig, wie Kenneth Bouldings Twelve Friendly Quarrels with Johan Galtung exemplarisch zeigen. Zu einem bedeutenden Botschafter zwischen den Kontinenten und Zugängen wurde Adam Curle, der 1973 an der Universität von Bradford die erste ordentliche Professur für Friedensforschung in Europa antrat.
