Zusammenfassung
In den vorhergehenden Kapiteln wurde laufend mit Linearkombinationen gerechnet, das gilt als der „elementare“ Teil der linearen Algebra. Nun steigen wir eine Stufe höher zur Determinante, das ist eine Zahl, die man einer quadratischen Matrix zuordnet. LEIBNIZ gab schon um 1690 eine Formel zur Berechnung dieser Zahl an ([Kow2], §1).
