Abstract
The relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties of X90 pipeline steel was investigated. The results showed that X90 pipeline steel consists of granular bainite and M/A island. The mechanical properties including tensile and impact properties are influenced by the polygonal ferrite. Furthermore, the S content should be strictly controlled as little as possible in order to maintain the toughness of steel at low temperature.
