Creation and annihilation of a wormhole in a matter—dark energy universe

Abstract

In this paper, we consider the creation/annihilation of a wormhole in the matter and dark energy universe based on wormhole cosmology. Several cases for the generation of a wormhole are reviewed, and the events are found to happen by controlling the input phantom (ghost) fields. However, when we adopt the wormhole cosmological model, a throat is created, expands, and disappears at late time with the hubble horizon in a matter-phantom-based universe background.
