Effect of the Dopant Anion and Oxidant on the Structure and Properties of Nanocomposites of Polypyrrole and Carbon Nanotubes

  • Published:
Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry Aims and scope

The effect of an oxidant (salts of Fe3+ and three different sulfonic acids) and a dopant anion on the morphology, structure, and properties of polypyrrole and its nanocomposites with carbon nanotubes was established. The practical applicability of these nanocomposites as sensing materials and as electromagnetic energy absorbing component in a ternary composite with polyvinylidene fluoride is demonstrated.
