Lipodystrophia progressiva, eine Sklerodermie en coup de sabre simulierend

Summary

A case report concerning a 26-year old man who since his 15th year has shown a ribbon-like, preauricular loss of the adipose tissue of the left cheek and also the presence of patches on the head which simulate Pseudopelade Brocq. These changes which resemble the death's head are symptoms of Lipodystrophia progressiva (Simons). With the available Literature the phenomenology and the different forms of this disease are dealt with. Its etiology ist unknown.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über einen 26 jährigen Patienten berichtet, der seit dem 15. Lebensjahr einen bandförmigen, präauricularen Schwund des Fettgewebes der linken Wange, mit konsekutivem Auftreten von Pseudopelade Brocq-artigen Herden im Capillitium aufweist. Diese zum Aspekt eines Totenkopfes führenden Veränderungen sind mit der Lipodystrophia progressiva Simons identisch, ein Krankheitsbild, dessen Phänomenologie und Varianten anhand einer Literaturübersicht dargestellt wird. Eine Ursache für das Zustandekommen der Erscheinung war nicht zu ermitteln.
