Conclusions
From the resin of the roots ofFerula oopoda (Boiss. et Buhse) Boiss. a new sesquiterpene lactone C20H26O4, mp 127–128° C, has been isolated which has been given the name oopodin. The probable structure I has been proposed for oopodin.
