Conclusions
-
1.
The kinetics of hydrolysis of 1-organyl- and 1-alkoxylsilatranes in a neutral medium was studied by UV spectroscopy.
-
2.
A scheme has been proposed for the neutral hydrolysis of silatranes with the formation of a four-centered intermediate at the first stage, followed by slow opening of the silatrane skeleton.
