Biotechnology Letters Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Populations ofZymomonas mobilis flocs, cultivated in a continuous tower reactor, can be completly described with a single parameter: the settling velocity. The floc size distribution is directly linked to the average settling rate. This property will simplify the design of continuous settlers.
