Summary
Miligram quantities of fluoride, chloride, bromide and iodide ions were separated by extraction chromatography using silica gel coated with tri-n-octylamine formate and aqueous solutions (0.005 and 5 M) of ammonium formate as eluents. The separated anions were determined potentiometrically in the eluate using appropriate ion-selective electrodes as indicator electrodes. The separation of the mixture was completed in 3 h.
