Summary
Retention indices of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone derivatives of 48 carbonyl compounds in optimized stainless steel columns (1 m, 1% OV 3 and OV7 on Chromosorb G-HP, 80–100 mesh) at 205° and 245° are given. Correlations between retention indices and some structural factors such as chain length, branching, double bond position, keto group position and combined effects are presented. In certain cases the influence of temperature and stationary phase polarity on retention indices are studied.
