Résumé
Les substances naturelles issues des végétaux ont des intérêts multiples mis à profit dans différentes industries. Par ailleurs, l’utilisation des molécules antioxydantes de synthèse est actuellement remise en cause, en raison des risques toxicologiques potentiels de ces molécules. Désormais, de nouvelles sources végétales d’antioxydants naturels sont recherchées. L’étude de l’activité antioxydante des plantes est devenue une sorte de mode cette dernière décennie, en raison des changements socio-économiques et culturels des consommateurs et des industriels au cours du temps, cela a bouleversé le milieu scientifique et l’a poussé à investiguer dans cet axe de recherche. Limoniastrum feei (Girard) Batt. est une plante à intérêts médicinaux multiples, cette dernière a été récoltée de la région d’Ain Ouarka, wilaya de Naâma (Sud-Ouest algérien). Les résultats obtenus montrent que les extraits méthanoliques de cette plante renferment des concentrations assez élevées en polyphénols et en flavonoïdes. De plus, l’étude de la cinétique chimique des extraits bruts de Limoniastrum feei par le piégeage du peroxyde d’hydrogène et par la décoloration du bêta-carotène a révélé une activité antioxydante importante vis-à-vis de la décoloration du bêta-carotène et une activité moyenne vis-à-vis du piégeage du peroxyde d’hydrogène.
Abstract
Natural substances from plants have taken advantage of multiple interests in different industries. In addition, the use of synthetic antioxidant molecules is currently being dangerous anyway, due to the potential toxicological risks of these molecules. In recent years, new plant sources of natural antioxidants are being sought. The study of the antioxidant activity of plants extracts has become more remarkable over the last decade, due to socio-economic and cultural rights of consumers and industry over time, this has insited the scientific community to investigate in this line of research. Limoniastrum feei (Girard) Batt. is a plant with multiple medicinal interest, it was harvested in the region of Ain Ouarka, Naâma (southwestern of Algeria). The results show that the methanol extracts of this plant contain relatively high concentrations of polyphenols and flavonoids. In addition, the study of chemical kinetics of crude extracts of Limoniastrum feei by hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity and beta carotene bleaching method, showed a significant antioxidant activity in the case of beta-carotene bleaching method and an average activity concerning hydrogen peroxide scavenging method.
