Isolation of novel microsatellite markers for the social parasitoid wasp, Copidosoma floridanum (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae)

Abstract

We developed and characterized nine microsatellite loci for the polyembryonic wasp Copidosoma floridanum (Ashmead) (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae). Eight of the nine loci were polymorphic and did not deviate from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. Our results will contribute to studies on the population genetic structure of C. floridanum.
