A New Method for Determining the Depth of Cut Using Power Shovel Monitoring

  • Published:
Journal of Mining Science Aims and scope

Abstract

The method based on the power shovel monitoring is described for determining the depth of cut and the value of power consumption depending on the rock strength and the dipper position in digging operation. The investigations into mining shovels operating at different open-pit mines of Turkish Coal Enterprises were carried out.
