Notes

  1. Compare the Continu Onderzoek Burgerperspectieven published by the SCP 2010/4: 13.

  2. The straightforward survey-question in the DPES, measuring the level of education of respondents is, for instance, problematic in comparative and longitudinal studies (Ganzeboom and Schröder, 2009). In the case of the Netherlands, is having a MULO diploma really equal to a MAVO or VMBO-diploma? And is an HBS level equivalent to HAVO or to Gymnasium?

  3. Compare, among others: Standard Eurobarometer 66/Autumn 2006: 6–16; 71/September 2009: 98.
