Correction to: Journal of International Relations and Development https://doi.org/10.1057/s41268-022-00279-7

The originally published article included a passage under the heading ‘Diversity and logics of resilience’ with an erroneous reference to the book by Brad Evans and Julian Reid Resilient life: The art of living dangerously published by Polity in 2014. That passage did not indicate the relevant page numbers and had a typo in the word ‘devastating’.

The corrected passage should read as follows:

“In this way, the Special Issue challenges existing conceptualisations of resilience—particularly in International Relations—that tend to present a totalising, deterministic account of resilience in which ‘the resilience perspective is no less rigorous in its selective function than Darwinian evolution’ (Walker and Cooper 2011: 156) or whereby resilience is ‘devastating’, ‘enslaving’ and puts chains ‘around all our necks’ (Evans and Reid 2015: 157, 154).”

The correct reference from which the quotes are sourced is: Evans, Brad and Julian Reid (2015) ‘Exhausted by resilience: Response to the commentaries’, Resilience 3(2): 154-159.

In the original publication of the article the affiliation details for Author Ana E. Juncos were incorrectly given and the correct affiliation is given in this correction.

The original article has been corrected.
