Abstract

It is shown that, when a strong constant electric field excites ion-acoustic turbulence in plasma with two sorts of ions having different charge-to-mass ratios, the plasma conductivity turns out to depend on time due to the temporal growth of the particle temperature. This necessitates the consideration of the plasma conductivity in the presence of turbulence excited by a time-dependent electric field. As a result, a nonlinear description of the electric field in turbulent plasma in the regime of heating of ions with equal temperatures is formulated.
