Abstract

We use the electrostatic analogy method in the approximation where the elastic vortex field is absent to analyze the stress state of a lenticular twin. We consider the cases in which the stresses have the same or opposite signs on the twin boundaries. We show that the normal stresses on the lenticular twin are equal to each other, while the shear stresses satisfy the conditions τxy = τyx, τxz = τzx, and τyz = τzy.
