Abstract
An approach to determining the modes of a waveguide formed in a shallow water basin or shelf zone is proposed. Parameters of the propagating modes are determined using the crosscorrelation function for a linear frequency modulated signal and a received signal with matched processing. The waveguide modes formed by the Arctic shelf bottom and the ocean’s surface are identified experimentally.
