Efficiency of Waste-Heat Power Units in Spacecraft Thermal Control Systems

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A review of research on power units in space indicates that primary power sources are mainly employed. No literature data on the utilization of the heat available in the spacecraft may be found. In the present work, the influence of a unit converting waste heat to electric power on the mass of the radiant cooling system is assessed.
