This book focuses on software reuse and the chances, dependability tests and recommendations for best reuse practice. A short introduction of the Ecodesign of hardware is given combined with the latest update of relevant EU legislation and standardization. It also describes the combination of different states of software in a E&E system in order to guarantee dependability of the product to be resold.
Authors and Affiliations
About the authors
Dr.-Ing. Ferdinand Quella is Polymer Chemist and headed with Siemens laboratories for Material Science, Total Quality Management and Product-related environmental protection. In ZVEI, he headed the working groups for Ecodesign, and in Standardization, he worked with ISO for Ecodesign (ISO/TR 14062) and in VDE for reuse. He is the author and the co-author of several books about Ecodesign.
