About the author

RAPHAEL LANGHAM is an actuary. On retirement he enrolled as a very mature undergraduate at University College London to study Jewish History. Following his BA degree he has been researching for a PhD. He is currently the Honorary Treasurer of the Jewish Historical Society of England.
