Abstract

The ‘complexity of the’ brain is reviewed in terms of struc- tural, functional and dynamic modules. Specifically, the modular concept is supplemented by using statistical approach for the dynamic behavior of large population of neurons. The relationship between anatomical cor- tical connectivity and (over)synchronized spatiotemporal activity prop- agation was studied by using large-scale brain simulation technique.
