Abstract

In this paper, a fuzzy logic supervised second order sliding mode controller for an indirect vector-controlled induction motor is proposed. A second order sliding mode controller is designed in order to avoid high switching problem and a fuzzy logic controller is employed to enhance convergence speed adaptively. Using the proposed controller, position control of an induction motor is performed. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
