Abstract

Preliminary results of a theoretical study of nonadiabatic nonradial pulsations of RCrB stars are presented. Mode coupling instabilities of p — modes are found up to logT eff ≈ 4.3. The applicability of the Riccati method to nonadiabatic nonradial pulsations is demonstrated.
