Abstract

Just west of the A418 between Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard in the heart of Buckinghamshire lies the village of Aston Abbots with its church built slightly north of the village. In the churchyard is buried one of the most celebrated explorers of the Canadian Arctic, Sir James Clark Ross. The east window of the church consists of a memorial to Ross and his wife.
