Abstract
There are many occasions in computing when we want to deal with lists of numbers, that is, numbers which have some association, such as a list of students’ marks. Suppose such a list contained the marks of five students, then we could hold the marks in five uniquely named variables, as indicated on the left of Figure 4.1.
