Conclusion
The Indexing Service catalogs documents without needing them reformatted to a special, proprietary format, allowing Microsoft Office file formats, including the common Word and Excel documents, and those types of files indexed by the service to be available immediately and without any sort of special processing required. This lets you find the files you need quickly, with minimal effort.
