Abstract

Probably the single most important development which helped the scientific community to recognize the role of behavioral factors in health and illness and the need to address this knowledge in future training and research was the scientific knowledge accumulated between 1960 and 1980 on the role of behavioral and environmental factors, including an individual’s lifestyle, in his or her health.s
