Abstract

Many of you know the meaning of the terms percolation and polymers better than I do, and the last words in the title, “almost everything else”, do not deserve comment — as yet. Therefore I begin by dealing with the first term in the title. You were not expected to know it because I coined it only recently. Before I define it, I beg you to examine Figure 1 on the following page.

Presented at a Special Symposium at the University of Rochester, 4th November, 1976.
