HLA and Disease Associations

Abstract

Shornick et al.1 observed a significantly increased frequency of DR3 in 26 American Caucasian patients (Table 14.1). Similarly, in a small sample of 8 Spanish patients studied by Ferrando et al.2 6 (75%) were positive for DR3. The frequency of this antigen in the control population of unknown size was 14.8%.
