Abstract
The judicious use of color can transform a rather tired looking presentation into a vibrant, eye-catching display that even the most casual of readers will wish to read. However, there are definite pitfalls for the inexperienced presenter. The misuse of color in scientific posters may produce disastrous results beyond mere distraction from your scientific message. This chapter considers the use and misuse of color and gives guidance on when it can be used to its best advantage in the overall poster design.
