Abstract
A simulation model of a distributed data base (DDB) control system is described in this chapter. The model can serve to design a DDB. The file allocation problem, the deadlock detection and avoidance problem and the request processing optimisation problem can be solved in particular. The model simulates the DDB operation in detail, including distributed requests processing in correspondence with real logic. Resource types, resources, patterns, animation frames and performance measures are considered.
